Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of the terms

By accessing Funivie.it (the ‘Site’) you accept these Terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the Site. Together with the privacy and cookie notice they form the agreement between you and whoever runs the Site.

Site operator: [TITOLARE DA COMPLETARE] - legal name, registered office, VAT or tax number. Until this line is filled in, the service provider is not identified as Article 7 of Italian Legislative Decree 70/2003 requires.

2. What Funivie.it is

Funivie.it is an independent information portal about cable cars, ski resorts, ski passes, mountain weather and webcams in Italy.

The Site publishes information. It does not sell tickets, ski passes, accommodation or any other service and is not a party to the contract you conclude with a provider reached from here: that contract is between you and them, and their conditions apply.

Using the Site is free and requires no registration.

3. Accuracy of the information

We do what we can to publish correct data, but this Site carries information that changes constantly. Here is what you should know before relying on it:

• Technical data of the lifts (length, vertical drop, capacity, type): this comes from OpenStreetMap, a collaborative database. It may be incomplete, out of date or wrong.
• Ski pass prices, opening dates and timetables: they are transcribed from official sites on the date shown in the page. Lift companies change them without notice, so the price you read here may no longer be valid.
• Weather and altitude data: these are forecasts from a numerical model, not measurements on site and not a guarantee.
• Webcams: the images belong to third parties and may be frozen, out of date or unavailable.

Before travelling or buying, always check the resort's official site. For snow conditions, avalanche danger and mountain safety rely on the official bulletins and on the resort staff: the Site is not a safety source.

4. Intellectual property and licences

The original texts, the structure and the design of the Site are protected by copyright. You may quote them citing the source and a link; you may not republish them in full or use them for commercial purposes without our written consent.

Map and lift technical data comes from OpenStreetMap and is distributed under the Open Database License (ODbL): if you reuse it you must attribute it to OpenStreetMap and its contributors and keep the same licence.

The photographs come largely from Wikimedia Commons and remain the property of their authors, under the licences shown on the photo credits page. Names, trademarks and logos of lift companies and resorts belong to their owners and are cited for information purposes.

5. Content sent by users

When you write to us through the contact form you are responsible for what you send: it must be lawful and must not infringe anyone else's rights.

We may decline to publish, correct or remove what we receive. Error reports are welcome and give no right to payment.

6. External links and affiliate links

The Site contains links to third-party sites. We do not control them and we are not responsible for their content, their prices or how they handle data.

Some of these links are affiliate links: if you book or buy through them, the provider pays us a commission. The price you pay does not change.

Every commercial link carries the rel="sponsored nofollow" attributes and passes through our redirect addresses starting with /go/, which count the clicks and are not indexed by search engines. Where the link sits inside an offer box, the box carries the affiliate notice.

7. How the Site is funded

The Site carries no advertising: it does not use Google AdSense or any other ad network, shows no banners and sells no ad space.

Affiliate commissions, described in the previous section, are the only source of revenue. We state it here so you know how we keep going: Article 22(2) of the Italian Consumer Code on the transparency of commercial intent and the IAP Digital Chart Regulation both require it.

8. Limitation of liability

The Site is provided ‘as is’. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for damage arising from the use of the information published, from travel or purchase decisions taken on the basis of it, or from the Site being unavailable.

The rights the law gives consumers, and liability for wilful misconduct or gross negligence, cannot be excluded and remain unaffected.

We are not liable for services bought from third parties. Complaints, refunds and cancellations must be addressed to the provider you contracted with.

9. Availability of the service

We try to keep the Site reachable, but we do not guarantee continuous or error-free service. We may suspend it, change it or shut it down, even without notice.

10. Personal data

11. Applicable law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by Italian law. If you are a consumer, disputes fall to the court of the place where you reside or are domiciled, under Article 66-bis of the Italian Consumer Code (Legislative Decree 206/2005), and the mandatory rules of your country of residence in the European Union continue to apply.

12. Changes to the terms

We may change these Terms. The version published here, with the update date at the top, is the one that applies. Continuing to use the Site after a change means accepting it.
