A skier for over twenty years, Marco has covered the slopes of more than 60 Italian resorts and around fifty European ones. A former FISI federal instructor, he worked in sports journalism for regional publications in north-east Italy before founding Funivie.it in 2024. Specialised in the analysis of lift infrastructure, he closely follows the Milan-Cortina 2026 Olympic construction sites with direct on-site visits. When not writing, you will find him on the Saslong run or in the queues at Passo Sella.
Sara Ferretti
Editor - Accommodation, Families, Sustainability
A naturalist by training and ski mountaineer by vocation, Sara handles the practical guides aimed at families and first-time mountain travellers. She has personally tested the accommodation at the main Alpine resorts, with particular attention to value for money and children's services. She also covers sustainability and the environmental impact of skiing: artificial snow-making, energy consumption of lifts and the resorts' green initiatives. A passionate cross-country skier and snowshoer, she lives between Trento and Val Gardena.

Verified data
Every data point on slope km, lifts and ski passes is verified on the official resort websites and regularly updated. Spotted an error? Write to us.
Direct experience
Guides to the main resorts are based on direct visits. We do not write about slopes we have not skied at least once.
Continuous updates
The winter season changes every year: new lifts, updated prices, openings. Content is reviewed before and during every season.
