The Aosta Valley is the historic heart of Italian cable car engineering: local manufacturers developed technology here that was later exported all over the world. This lift brings together the valley’s mechanical tradition and the latest in rope transport.
It runs in one of the harshest alpine environments in Europe. Low winter temperatures, heavy snow and wind loads, and strong sunlight at altitude all call for top-quality materials and maintenance.
This is an independent lift, not part of a ski area, and one of the region’s tourist attractions.
