Disciplines and venues
The 2026 Winter Games hold skiing and snow sport events at five main venues.
Alpine skiing
Alpine skiing is split between two venues:
- Cortina d’Ampezzo (resort page): giant slalom, slalom, women’s super-G and the team event. The races are held on the Tofane slopes, which you reach by the renovated gondola.
- Bormio (resort page): downhill (men and women), men’s super-G and the alpine combined on the legendary Stelvio run.
Freestyle skiing and snowboard
All freestyle skiing and snowboard events take place in Livigno, in the new snow park built for the Games:
- Moguls and aerials
- Halfpipe, slopestyle and big air
- Ski cross and snowboard cross
Cross-country skiing and Nordic combined
The cross-country races are held at the Lago di Tesero cross-country stadium in Val di Fiemme, an established venue that has hosted several World Championships. Events range from the sprint to the men’s 50 km.
Biathlon
The Südtirol Arena in Anterselva (Antholz), at 1,600 metres, hosts all the biathlon races. The venue is known for its harsh weather and spectacular views of the surrounding peaks: biathlon as it should be.
Ski jumping
The fully renovated ski jump in Predazzo, Val di Fiemme, hosts ski jumping and Nordic combined.

RAI is the official broadcaster in Italy, with full coverage on Rai 2 and Rai Sport. Eurosport (available on Discovery+) offers multi-channel coverage, so you can follow several events at the same time.

In person
If you want to watch in person, tickets are still available for some sessions on the official site, olympics.com. Prices start at around €30 for the less popular sessions. We recommend arriving at least an hour early for the security checks.
