Summer 2026 lift openings: Cervinia and Campiglio

The summer 2026 opening windows are already public, and that makes a real difference if you love the mountains: you can choose when to go instead of waiting for the last-minute announcement. Cervinia’s summer season runs from 4 May to 6 September 2026, Madonna di Campiglio’s from 18 June to 20 September and Pinzolo’s from 20 June to 13 September.

The benefit is simple. If you are planning a weekend, you already know whether to aim for the high altitude of Cervinia, where the season lasts longest, or for the middle weeks of summer around Campiglio and Pinzolo, which suit hiking, cycling and scenic lift rides better.

Cervinia: the longest window

Cervinia has the most useful summer calendar if you want to get up high early. The official lift page gives a summer 2026 season from 4 May to 6 September: a long window, perfect for combining cable car rides, viewing terraces and long days in the mountains.

One detail always matters here, though: wind and weather can affect individual lifts. Check the live status before you set off, especially if you are only going up for half a day or plan to come down on one of the last rides.

Campiglio and Pinzolo: the heart of summer

The Madonna di Campiglio and Pinzolo calendar concentrates on the peak of the season: Campiglio runs from 18 June to 20 September and Pinzolo from 20 June to 13 September. It is a great window for a full weekend of lifts, walks and outdoor activities.

Here it pays to think practically:

in June it is quieter, and the temperatures are often better for walking;
in July and August there are more services and more lifts running;
in September the weather can still be excellent, but fewer lifts are open.

For a scenic day out, Campiglio and Pinzolo are ideal. If you want to start the season as early as possible, Cervinia is still the best choice.

What to check before you go

The official dates are not enough on their own. Before you plan the trip, always check:

which lifts are running on the day you want;
the weather at altitude and the wind;
webcams and service notices;
the times of the last ride up and the last ride down;
parking, shuttles and access to the ski area.

This matters even more if you are planning a single weekend: in the mountains there is little room for error, and one extra check can save the day.
