The summer 2026 lift season is nearly over. In late September the useful question is no longer when the lifts open, but when they close and which ones keep running into October. This page lists the closing dates published by the operators for the lifts we have followed since June in Val di Fiemme, Madonna di Campiglio and the Dolomites, rechecked against the official sources on 22 September 2026.
These are scheduled dates, not a live status: wind, early snow or maintenance can bring a closure forward. Always check the operator’s page before you travel.

For the Tofana, the operator’s page gives the summer season as 13 June to 27 September 2026, while the cortinadampezzo.it news page says 29 September. The table uses the operator’s date.
The Sass Pordoi cable car has the longest season of the lifts listed here: open daily from 09:00 to 17:00, closing at 16:30 from 19 October. Summer 2026 prices on the same page: single €18.00 for adults and €10.50 for young people, return €32.00 for adults and €19.00 for young people.

Alpe Cermis closing date 2026: the summer lifts (the gondolas from Cavalese and the Lagorai chairlift) closed on 20 September 2026, as scheduled. After that date, Val di Fiemme still has the Latemar gondola at Pampeago until 27 September and the Obereggen lifts until 4 October.
Summer Card and Fiemme Mountain Pass 2026
These are two different tickets and are easily confused:
- Summer Card: only for guests of partner accommodation holding the Fiemme Cembra Guest Card, for stays of at least two nights. It covers one return trip per day on Alpe Cermis, Bellamonte, Latemar Pampeago and Latemar MontagnAnimata Predazzo, not on Obereggen. September rate (from 29 August until closing): €22 for adults, €15 for juniors, free for children born in 2018 or later when accompanied by a paying adult.
- Fiemme Mountain Pass: the multi-day ticket, valid on Alpe Cermis, Bellamonte, Latemar Pampeago, Latemar MontagnAnimata Predazzo and also on Obereggen. Summer 2026 prices: 3 days out of 7 at €70.00 for adults and €49.00 for juniors; 7 consecutive days at €86.00 and €61.00; 6 days out of 13 at €108.00 and €76.00; season pass at €170.00 for adults, €105.00 for juniors and €60.00 for children. Children up to 8 travel free on the multi-day tickets. Guests of partner private apartments get 20% off.
In late September, with most lifts already closed, check which lifts are actually still running (Latemar and Obereggen) before buying a multi-day pass.

Madonna di Campiglio, Pinzolo and Folgarida-Marilleva: summer season over
On the live page at ski.it, all the summer lifts of the Skiarea Campiglio were shown as closed on 22 September 2026. Summer 2026 operating periods:

For the two Pinzolo gondolas we use the 13 September closing date published by campigliodolomiti.it and funiviecampiglio.it; the ski.it table shows 20 September. Either way, the summer season has ended.

For the Fedare chairlift, the summer opening is given as 18 July on cortinadelicious.it and 11 July on cortinadampezzo.it; both agree on the 15 September closing. For the Lagazuoi cable car, the operator (lagazuoi.it) and cortinadelicious.it give the season as 6 June to 18 October, while cortinadampezzo.it gives 30 May as the opening; all three sources agree on the 18 October closing. For the Marmolada, times and prices are only shown in the online booking system, not on the home page.

After summer: autumn and winter 2026/27
- September, October and November: for a day at altitude after the summer closures, use the autumn 2026 cable car calendar. It lists dates and extra weekends for lifts not covered here, such as Seceda in Val Gardena, Skyway Monte Bianco, Molveno - Pradel and the Malcesine - Monte Baldo cable car.

In brief
In Val di Fiemme, Alpe Cermis closed on 20 September 2026; the Latemar gondola at Pampeago runs until 27 September and Obereggen (Oberholz and Ochsenweide) until 4 October. In Madonna di Campiglio, Pinzolo and Folgarida-Marilleva the summer season is over (last day 20 September for Pradalago and Spinale). In the Dolomites, Marmolada and Tofana close on 27 September, the 5 Torri chairlift on 11 October, Lagazuoi on 18 October and Sass Pordoi on 1 November.
