The Col Gallina gondola is one of the key connectors within the Dolomiti Superski circuit, operating at the strategic junction between the Cortina-adjacent terrain and the core of the Sellaronda loop. Sitting at around 2,050 to 2,450 metres, it serves terrain that is characterised by wide open skiing with exceptional Dolomite panoramas on all sides.

The Col Gallina area offers some of the most scenic skiing in the entire Sellaronda circuit: the pistes here traverse open snowfields above the treeline with unobstructed views of the Pelmo, Civetta and Marmolada groups, the great pillars of the Dolomites UNESCO World Heritage Site arranged in a semicircle that makes every run feel like a lap through one of the worldโ€™s great natural galleries.

With a capacity of 2,800 persons per hour, this modern Leitner installation ensures the flow of skiers circulating in both directions of the Sellaronda remains smooth, reducing queue times even at peak periods. The gondola was designed to replace an older system and represents the investment made by the Dolomiti Superski consortium to continuously upgrade the infrastructure serving this world-famous circuit.

The surrounding terrain is suitable for intermediate and advanced skiers, with well-groomed reds forming the backbone of the piste network and some more challenging terrain accessible to confident skiers in good visibility. The area can be included in either the clockwise or anti-clockwise Sellaronda circuit, making it a reference point for skiers planning their route through the four valleys.
